I recently attended Wills 1 day flint knapping workshop.

The day was amazing start to finish and I have to say Will is a fantastic teacher and an even better person

The day was topped off with a visit from Will’s dad who was an absolute joy to watch

I’ll definitely be booking onto more workshops

Spending the weekend in the woods making something will be the highlight of my year. The little hollow in the woods with Wills earth lodge is a really special place to be. Will very expertly guided our small group through how to use a spoke shave, making cordage to string our bow, fletching, sewing a hand grip and wrapping cord for the return. As an absolute beginner I ended the weekend with a cracking longbow that looks really beautiful. Thank you Will for all your hard work putting this session together, your watchful eye and creating such a chilled atmosphere.

I had a fantastic day with Will and Josh, giving us a look into the past and teaching us the art of flint napping. A truly amazing experience. Looking forward to returning to the Earth Lodge and trying something else new. Thanks lads.

Excellent course, makes one appreciate ancestors and the importance of getting away from the stresses and strains of modern living.

Spent a great day with Will (and his puppy) making a bronze sword. Brilliant day from start to finish. A great, hands-on, practical and highly informative experience, in a suitably atmospheric setting! – And now I own my own Bronze age weapon, too.

Would recommend this to anyone, and I’ll definitely be coming back.
